Gigantic Pirate Invasion Expected to hit the Children’s Museum Sunday August 9th with Free Admission and Family Activates Hosted by 211

August 7, 2015- Ahoy Mates! Fear ye not as there will be no pillaging, plundering or walking of the gang plank…just a whole lot of "pirate-y" family fun and goodness. Sunday’s pirate adventure runs from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast. Admission and activities are free! 211 HelpLine is hosting this event in hopes of also educating families about the numerous community resources and services available to them.

“We hope Treasure Coast families come out and enjoy this great venue and all the resources that will be represented here on Sunday.  There will be plenty for the children to do, free food and lots of raffle prizes for them to win!" Said Karen Bailey 211’s Program Coordinator.

"I think the overall climate of support for this event has been amazing!  Not only have the Treasure Coast children and family agencies supported this effort, but the community as a whole has been fantastic.” Said Randee Gabriel 211’s Manager Children and Family Services programing.  “Donations and sponsors from a wide array of local businesses has truly been what has made this event possible.”

Just a friendly reminder that pirate attire is encouraged with pirates at heart and of all ages welcomed.

(Please note: peg legs are expected to be polished and parrots must be kept leashed at all times!)
